Arco is located on the north-east end of Lake Garda in Northen Italy. The climbing around Arco is mostly limestone with rock visible in every direction. Arco is famous for hosting the Arco Rockmasters invitational climbing competition, arguably the most prestigious climbing competition in the world.

To get to Arco you'll want to follow signs to 'Riva del Garda' from Trento or Rovereto. There are many hotels available and camping can be found at either Camping Zoo, or Camping Arco. Climbing apparently can be done year round but I have only been there in the late summer and fall when it's still warm.

The crowd for the redpoint competition was huge! I'm guessing over a thousand people.

The entire weekend I was really impressed by the routesetting. On the men's redpoint route you can see how the route actually went from one wall, across to the other and back.
